LA GUERRE ET LA PAIX, PICASSO

Living in Vallauris since 1948, Pablo Picasso chose the Romanesque chapel of the former priory to install a monumental mural composition entitled War and Peace. Through this work, the artist passionately and inventively denounces the horrors of war while expressing his commitment to peace.Installed in the nave of the chapel, an immersive audiovisual installation — projected onto a screen shaped to follow the architecture of the nave itself — welcomes visitors, whether individuals or school groups, before (or after) their discovery of the artwork.We conceived a permanent installation designed to blend harmoniously with the chapel’s heritage architecture while presenting the immersive film created by Narrative.

Résidant à Vallauris depuis 1948, Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) choisit la chapelle romane de l’ancien prieuré pour y installer une composition murale monumentale, intitulée La Guerre et La Paix : l’artiste y dénonce avec passion et inventivité les horreurs de la guerre et témoigne de son engagement pour la paix. Installé dans la nef de la chapelle, un dispositif audiovisuel immersif projeté sur un écran épousant la forme de cette même nef, accueille les visiteurs – individuels, scolaires, avant (ou après) leur visite de l’oeuvre.

Nous avons imaginé un dispositif pérenne, qui s'intègre à l'architecture patrimonial de la chapelle pour projeter le film immersif conçu par Narrative.
